Group lessons are usually held in the morning, while individual lessons are planned during the afternoons,

starting from 14.00. Each individual lesson is usually organized on 2 hours.
 

ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSES

The Standard course is the best way for students of every level to join grammar and conversation. Groups are small, heterogeneous and multilingual, helping the students to better achievement of the knowledge of the language. Students from different countries have to use the Italian language, which would be the common language.

The course matches the standard course + some hours of individual lessons. This intensive program has been successful till now because the individual tuitions are really useful to fix grammar rules and all new learned and above all to focus the attention on particularly difficulties that the student may meet during the study of the Italian language, which is not always possible to do with other students in the same classroom.

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS : ONE - TO - ONE

The program is focused on the real student’s knowledge and on his needs. Considering the extreme flexibility of schedule and time, the individual course could be particularly suitable to those who have problems of time and job.

The individual course is also good when combined to the standard Italian language course, above all for people whishing to deep into the language but have only short period available.    

 

SEMI INDIVIDUAL LESSONS : TWO - TO - ONE
This course is suitable for two students of the same level who prefer to work in such small groups.

Considering the extreme flexibility of schedule and time, the individual course could be particularly suitable to those who have problems of time and job.

2007 2008

The evening courses are designed for people staying in Genoa for long periods. These people usually have a job or other personal daily activities, so in order to let them attend the course, lessons are held in late afternoon or evening. The course consist of 1 hour 1/2  lesson, twice a week.

The Evening Italian courses are available from October to May.
HOW ARE ORGANIZED:

Attendance 2 times a week

3 month course

Lessons 90 minutes

SMALL groups minimum 5 - maximum 12 students

Didactical material published and furnished by the school

Enrollment fee: free of charge
If the minimum number of 5 students is not reached, the school reserves the right to postpone the date of beginning of the course.

At the end of the course the student receives a certificate of attendance. This course is particularly addressed to

  • students of the university ERASMUS program,

  • foreigners living in Genoa

Lessons lost during National Holidays will be posponed the next week, according to class and teachers' availability.

TRAINING FOR CELI CERTIFICATIONS
The school helps all the students willing get ready for the certifications released from University for foreigners of Perugia - CELI

Recognized exam center in Genova:

Exam Celi is held at the Liceo Linguistico "Grazia Deledda"

Twice on June and November 

The standard course is already a good preparation especially in the long period. Nevertheless experience has taught that it is advisable for all the interested students to achieve the aforesaid certifications to frequent additionally a minimum of 12 individual lessons to divide in 2 weeks of frequency.

The objective of the individual lessons is the specific training to the examination through the study of the texts of the examinations of the preceding sessions. The teacher deepens and analyzes in all the details the grammatical structures, focusing on student’s problems and helping him to overcome every doubt and lack

  • combi course standard course in the morning (20 hours/week) + 6 hours/week individual lessons. It is requested a minimum frequency of 2 weeks, in order to have minimum 40 hours of group lessons and 12 hours of individual lessons.

  • individual course minimum of 15 lessons, to agree following time and student’s needs

 

SPECIAL COURSES

BUSINESS ITALIAN

The business Italian course is designed for students who already have a good knowledge of Italian language and use Italian for business.

The program focuses on the Italian language of business, with readings from newspaper articles about business, analyses of letters and on the specific language of the client's field of work. So the program can also be tailored upon student’s and group’s particular needs.

The course can be attended both in group and individually:

  • combi course standard course in the morning (20 hours/week) + 4 hours/week individual lessons. It is requested a minimum frequency of 2 weeks, in order to have minimum 40 hours of group lessons and 8 hours of individual lessons.

  • individual course minimum of 15 lessons, to agree following time and student’s needs.

 

ITALIAN AND COOKING COURSE

This course is thought for all people who desire to combine the study of the Italian language to the pleasure of making some cooking lessons.

Language lessons are held at school following Standard course time schedule.

Cooking lessons are held in the afternoon and can be attended both in group or individually.

Course's duration:

1 week: 20 hours language group course + 9 cooking lessons

2 weeks: 40 hours language group course + 18 cooking lessons

Programs available:

  • Cooking lessons at teacher's home. It consists of :

3 lessons weekly of 3 hours each in the afternoon. During each lesson (group or individual) the student can learn a whole menu and at the end of the lesson can enjoy a pleasant dinner with the teacher.

  • Cooking lessons at school. Different kind of group cooking courses are available.

ITALIAN AND DIVING COURSE (PSS CERTIFICATE)

The course in Italian language  (exclusively dedicated to 3° levels students) combined to PSS Certificate Open Water Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver. Both programs include:

- STANDARD Italian language course for 2 weeks minimum

- Diving Open Water o Advance Open Water Diver course

All didactical material, related to Italian and diving courses, as well all the equipment for diving lessons in the sea (wetsuit, tanks, fins, mask, regulators).is included in the price.

This course is available during summer season only.
 

   ITALIAN & "LA DOLCE VITA"

The course is organized to join to the Italian language group lessons in the morning other afternoon activities, helping people in experiencing the town and get in contact with the Italian culture. Twice or three time weekly at school are held seminars on Cinema and Theatre, Italian song writers and most famous Italian songs,  general Italian style and way of life.  This seminars are designed for those who have at least an intermediate knowledge of Italian.
