FREE CITY WALK
Our school organises twice a month a city walk, in order to visit the most important places in Genoa and to discover the biggest middle-aged historical centre in Europe!
The visit lasts 2 hours.
From the school we go in Via Garibaldi, where there are the Rolli Palaces, dating from the 16th and the 17th centuries and owned by noble families and some important museums.
Continuing for the streets of the city we will arrive in Piazza San Matteo with the church of St. Matteo, noble church of the family Doria.
Then we go to the San Lorenzo Cathedral and through Via San Lorenzo, today a pedestrian centre among the ancient buildings and the modern bars, we arrive in the old port area with the Acquarium.
Overcome the port, we arrive in Piazza Matteotti, whose focal point is Palazzo Ducale, heart of the cultural and worldly events of the town, that entertains for the whole year many kind of art exhibitions.
From there we go in Piazza delle Erbe and in the movida area, walking through Sant'Agostino church, Campo Pisano and Porta Soprana, that marked the entry in the city from the East part.
The tour ends in Piazza De Ferrari, business centre of the city.
