Deposit

a deposit is required for some apartments to cover possible lost, damages, accident.

The deposit is  reimbursed at check out after the check of the apartment by the owner or by a responsible of the school.

If there is any damage, the cost will be deducted from the deposit.

1. Searching for an hotel during your study holiday…

Clients who desire to live in a hotel can arrange through a Door to Italy their stay in one of the following hotels, all located in the town, close to school and railway station, and above all easy to rich by bus.

2. Booking an hotel to live in Genoa during your study holiday…

To book the hotel the client is requested to ask us in advance in order to let us verify the availability of the room/rooms during the requested period. In case of availability we will inform the client and ask a credit card as guarantee.

3. Payment

The credit card number used as guarantee to book the hotel will be not charged at all. The payment will be done personally by the client and direct to the hotel at check out time at the hotel reception.

The only exception will be done for the Hotel Jolly Plaza, which payment will be requested direct by the school at the booking time The amount will be paid as following: 30% in advance (minimum the value of the first night) as deposit together with 30% in advance for the course confirmation. The difference will be balanced at the school secretary the first day, while registering at school, together with the balance of the course fees.

4. Cancellation of your accommodation

After confirmation the booking can be cancelled, if communicated with enough time in advance: 5 working days before estimate check in time. In this case the school will be able to find another solution or to change the order as requested by the client.

In case of booking at the Jolly Plaza Hotel, for which the school asks 30% in advance (minimum the value of 1st night), the sum paid will be totally returned to the client, with the exception of bank fees.

For late cancellation after the 5th working day before estimate check in time or no show cases, the hotel (the school in case of booking at the Jolly Plaza Hotel) will have the right to charge the client of the first night

5. Reduction of your hotel…

All bookings confirmed through the A Door to Italy’s office will receive

5% reduction on the following prices

The offer is valid for all the hotel here listed and for all 2007, apart the period of the exhibitions. Reduction will be immediately recognized to the client at the moment of the payment.

Hotel Assarotti**                                                                                                       Center

Location: The hotel is situated in the heart of the eight-hundred years old city. It is a welcoming hotel offering single rooms, double rooms (with large bed or twin beds), three beds rooms and four beds rooms.

Rooms: private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, direct phone and phone jacks for PC and Internet connections, tv color with various satellite channels (CNN, Eurosport, ecc.).

All rooms have individual air-conditioning and window frame with double glazing.

Hotel services: small well-stocked bar, daily newspapers and magazines, Internet point with ADSL connection, possibility of parking in the private area.

Cot for baby (until 3 years old) without additional cost.

Hotel Boccascena***                                                            

Center/East

Location: The Hotel Boccascena has is located in the centre of the city, just 100 metres from the Corso Italia bathing establishment and the International Exhibition Centre of Genoa, in via Carlo Barabino, in one of the most elegant quarters (Foce) of Genoa, where you will find beautiful buildings from the late 1800s. The central position of the hotel allows you to reach the central train station at Brignole as well as the International Exhibition Centre and the seafront on foot. In 15 minutes you can reach the central Piazza de Ferrari and the Carlo Felice Theatre; continue your walk and you'll arrive at the Porto Antico and the Aquarium after

having passed through the largest old town centre in Europe which holds many interesting sites. This area has very efficient public transport.

Rooms: The Hotel Boccascena has 14 rooms, three of which are in the annex on the 5th. Floor, each has telephone, 21" colour TV, DVD, free high velocity Internet connection, air conditioning, fridge bar, safe, hairdryer, sound proofed doors and windows and badge door lock.

The furnishings in all the rooms, especially the fabrics, recall the Art Nouveau style matching the building itself, dating back to the late 1800s.

Location: The hotel is in that part of Genoa that mingles with the East Ligurian Riviera. Its position is there fore perfect to visit both the centre town and the surroundings like Camogli, Santa Margherita, Portofino, Cinque Terre.

Thanks to the excellent train connection, the students can reach the school in about 15 min. by train.

The hotel is a unique complex with its Villa, situated in the same garden of the hotel. Hotel and Villa are in the middle of their garden, a few steps from the Park and the Promenade to the seaside. The difference between the hotel and the villa is that there is no room service in the villa and all rooms have a shower and not a bathtub.

Rooms: All rooms are equipped with private bathroom, air-conditioning, telephone, predisposition for fax and computer, sat TV, mini bar. Totally the hotel and the villa offer 55 rooms.
